Alton Jet Pumps, LLC (Jennings, LA) and BreakThrough Pumps Limited (Houston, TX) have entered into an agreement that authorizes BreakThrough Pumps as Distributor for marketing, installation and maintenance of Alton Jet Pumps and accessories. Alton Jet Pumps utilizes a new state-of-the-art highly efficient jet pump to pump fluids (oil and water) and gas. The technology has been used for the last several years to artificially lift oil wells that could not be commercially lifted using existing technologies.

"This agreement fills a need for Alton Jet Pumps while adding BreakThrough’s network and experience to support marketing, sales and installation of the new technology". BreakThrough will work with Alton Pumps on projects internationally, but, plans to in its initial phase to primarily address the domestic United States market.

Alton Jet Pumps was founded by Mr. Alton O’Blanc, a 40 year oilfield veteran, who worked 15 years as Senior Production Superintendent for Union Texas Petroleum Company prior to beginning the development of the downhole jet pump. By 2002 O’Blanc had produced a major breakthrough in jet pump design and was awarded United States Patent 6354371 for jet pump assembly. For the last 10 years Alton Jet Pumps had manufactured and installed the surface and the downhole jet pumps for various oilfield operators, such as Plains Energy, Murphy Oil and BreakThrough Ventures along with other oil producers. The field results of the Alton Jet Pump have been outstandingly successful and is a truly crucial development for the oil industry which will result in substantial oil reserves additions.
